Join us at The Clubhouse in Nab Wood as we celebrate our new opening times

The bar and restaurant at The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park, which is off Nab Wood drive in Shipley, always provides a friendly and welcoming place for local people to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Renowned for its popular Sunday lunches, fabulous fish and chips and Friday theme nights, the team provides a first-class service to ensure everyone has a memorable time.

The bar, restaurant, snooker table, bowling and putting greens are open for anyone who takes out social membership at The Clubhouse, which costs just £5.84 per month. The bar and restaurant are now open from 8am to 8pm every day, as well as offering later opening times for functions.

Konrad Czajka who owns The Clubhouse said: “People might not realise that although we offer membership packages for our health and leisure facilities, we have a social membership for people who want to enjoy a drink and delicious home-cooked meal in our popular restaurant and bar, as well as a game of snooker or bowls.”

The Clubhouse has an established and unrivalled reputation with people of all age groups, as well as local businesses and individuals hiring it for functions and events such as weddings, christenings, anniversaries, birthday parties, funerals, and corporate events.

To enjoy all the first-rate facilities at The Clubhouse, full memberships start at £49 per month or £40 per month for people aged over 60. A family and child membership package is also available.

“The Clubhouse is the perfect place to get fit, stay healthy and socialise with friends and family,” explained Konrad. The first-rate facilities include:

  • An indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room.
  • Fitness centre, with state-of-the-art gym equipment.
  • A snooker table, bowling and putting greens.
  • Popular bar and restaurant.
  • Boardroom facilities and private function suite.

“We visit The Clubhouse at least three times a week, we use the fantastic swimming pool which is always clean and warm and also thoroughly enjoy the bowling. We take part in lots of matches, and it’s a welcoming and fun sport to be part of.”

“A highlight of The Clubhouse is the fantastic food on offer. We go every Wednesday for the delicious fish and chip supper, and the quality of the food and the service we receive is outstanding.”

Diligent design at the heart of all Czajka Care Group’s homes

Over the last 41 years Czajka Care Group has grown and developed to become West Yorkshire’s leading care provider, as well as a renowned provider of quality retirement homes in Nab Wood and Steeton. During that time, one man who has played a big part in the design of all Czajka Care Group’s properties is architect, Philip Mawson.

Forty years together

Irene Jest has played a huge part in Czajka Care Croup’s story over the last 40 years. The 76-year-old was one of the original ‘gang’ employed by Konrad Czajka when he first started out in the care industry, and she has contributed so much to the family-run care company over her many years of dedicated service. Irene retired in 2023 and now lives in Idle, but she still makes regular visits to the homes and The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park.
