Situated in Nab Wood, Shipley and close to all the amenities of Bradford city centre.
Brookfield residential care home in Nab Wood, Shipley is a beautifully extended and modernised Victorian home with lots of original features and located only 3 miles from Bradford centre.
Our beautifully landscaped grounds, where we grow our own vegetables, is a wonderful spot for residents to stretch their legs and many even enjoy helping with the gardening. With a choice of four different lounges and a conservatory with patio doors leading out into the gardens, everyone can have their own space, or join in with the many activities and events we run on a daily basis.
We also have a dedicated music centre and a library of books, so residents can find a quiet spot to sit and enjoy a good read. Computers and WiFi are available so residents can Skype their relatives and friends, surf the net, send emails or even update their Facebook profile.
Residents can eat in either of the two dining rooms, on the garden terrace or have their meals brought to them in their own rooms. Nothing is ever set in stone and we pride ourselves on being flexible.
All rooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard with quality furniture, individual call systems, telephone points and televisions. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal belongings such as small items of furniture, photographs, ornaments and other treasured mementoes to help make their room their own.
Brookfield residential care home benefits from being part of a bigger estate which includes Fairmount Nursing Home and Fairmount Park – a development of 37 houses and apartments for the over 55s, complete with popular putting green and crown bowling green.
Residents living at Brookfield can also enjoy The Clubhouse at Fairmont Park, which offers a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, jacuzzi, fully equipped gym, steam room and snooker table.
With the Gold Standard Framework accreditation in recognition of our continued high standards, we are also accredited as an Investors in People organisation, demonstrating our commitment to developing staff and have an impressive infection control rating.

Some would say that old age is nothing to look forward to, but having visited our mother on a regular basis I would now argue that. Through your care, we are confident that we were able to enjoy our mother's company for added time as it was the care she received-the care that you gave her-that gave her the desire to carry on by restoring that much needed sense of confidence and well-being that she had started to lose.
She was afforded that love and care that only very privileged individuals are able to give; which enabled her to live out her time with the two most important factors of all-happiness and dignity, and also a sense of feeling that she was not a burden and that she was loved and appreciated.

Mr Czajka, I could go on for hours lavishing praise, but it would never be enough. You must be very proud of your entire team at Brookfield for what they have achieved and the care they afforded our mother and by the same token, they too can be very proud of themselves for the fact they brought so much joy and happiness to D. And made the last years of her life amongst some of the happiest and most comfortable she ever enjoyed.
